About Us. The Lansdowne Hotel has been run by Brian Rumble and his family since 1975.
We have grown over this time to be one of the most popular hotels on Hastings seafront, offering great value for money and very high standards.
This has resulted in us winning many local awards: the Civic Pride and Hastings in Bloom (on more than one occasion) and our summer floral display has appeared in magazines worldwide.
All our comfortable rooms have en-suite facilities plus colour tv, tea/coffee making facilities, telephones and full central heating.
Enjoy a relaxing drink in our well stocked lounge bar with ITV Digital, or on our summer terrace with its extensive sea views.
Light meals and snacks are available on request. Our restaurant prides itself in our range of home cooked dishes (local fish a speciality) & special diets can also be catered for.
We are ideally situated in a central position on Hastings seafront, with the pier and a long promenade to the right; to the left we have our historic Old Town with its fishing quarter and unique Net huts, winding streets full of unusual antique shops, plus many public houses & restaurants. The Old Town has many attractions including family amusements, mini golf, a boating lake, the Sea Life Centre, the Shipwreck Heritage Centre, cliff railway, Hastings Castle, Smugglers Adventure, etc
The new Priory Meadow Shopping Centre, with all its major stores, is situated almost immediately behind the hotel. If you want to enjoy a bite to eat while the kids play, why not visit "Clambers" which offers supervised play for children both indoors and outdoors.
Being in the heart of the historical 1066 Country Hastings can offer you the seaside, yet only a couple of minutes drive away you can be amongst some of the most beautiful countryside southern England has to offer with a great range of historical sites to visit, ranging from castles and museums to country house gardens and steam railways.
